In 2022, the average cheese and curd export price amounted to $X per ton, picking up by 7.8% against the previous year. Overall, the export price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when the average export price increased by 17% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $X per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Canada ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Denmark ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +1.0% from 2012 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 with an increase of 13%. Imports peaked at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

Ireland (X tons), France (X tons) and Germany (X tons) were the main suppliers of cheese and curd imports to the UK, with a combined 44% share of total imports. Denmark, Italy, the Netherlands, Cyprus and Belgium lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 42%.
