In 2022, approx. X tons of cherries and sour cherries were imported into the UK; with a decrease of -4.1% against 2021 figures. Overall, imports saw a noticeable curtailment. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 with an increase of 23% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, cherry and sour cherry imports rose rapidly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a slight reduction.
