The United States, Finland, Russia, Belgium, Spain, France, the United Arab Emirates, Norway, Germany and Niger lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 34%.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Russia (with a CAGR of +18.4%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average cider, perry and mead export price stood at $X per litre in 2021, increasing by 4% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2021, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.5%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 when the average export price increased by 30% against the previous year. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $X per litre. From 2017 to 2021, the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Norway ($X per litre), while the average price for exports to Niger ($X per litre) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United States (+7.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into the UK
In 2021, imports of cider, perry, mead and other fermented beverages into the UK expanded modestly to X litres, with an increase of 1.7% against 2020 figures. Overall, imports showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 with an increase of 23%. Imports peaked at X litres in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, cider, perry and mead imports soared to $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, recorded a slight slump. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

Ireland (X litres), Sweden (X litres) and Belgium (X litres) were the main suppliers of cider, perry and mead imports to the UK, with a combined 89% share of total imports. These countries were followed by Jamaica, Germany and the Netherlands, which together accounted for a further 5.1%.
