The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 18%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

Imports by Country

In 2021, Israel (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of fluorine, chlorine, bromine and iodine to the UK, accounting for a 60% share of total imports. Moreover, fluorine, chlorine, bromine and iodine imports from Israel exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, China (X tons), sevenfold. Ireland (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 6.6% share.
