In value terms, non-enclosed loudspeakers exports contracted notably to $X in 2021. Overall, exports showed a mild decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of 44% against the previous year. The exports peaked at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Sweden (X units) was the main destination for non-enclosed loudspeakers exports from the UK, with a 28% share of total exports. The average non-enclosed loudspeakers export price stood at $X per unit in 2021, jumping by 22% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, showed a perceptible decline. There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2021, the country with the highest price was the United States ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Turkey ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

Over the period under review, imports, however, showed a pronounced decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when imports increased by 25%. Imports peaked at X units in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, non-enclosed loudspeakers imports rose markedly to $X in 2021. Overall, imports, however, showed a pronounced contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of 23% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
Imports by Country
China (X units), Belgium (X units) and Hungary (X units) were the main suppliers of non-enclosed loudspeakers imports to the UK, together accounting for 65% of total imports. Hong Kong SAR, Germany, Vietnam, Italy and Thailand lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 26%.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Vietnam (with a CAGR of +41.1%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, China ($X), Belgium ($X) and Hungary ($X) constituted the largest non-enclosed loudspeakers suppliers to the UK, with a combined 58% share of total imports. Germany, Vietnam, Italy, Hong Kong SAR and Thailand lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 19%.
Vietnam, with a CAGR of +20.1%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, in terms of the main suppliers over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced a decline.

The average non-enclosed loudspeakers import price stood at $X per unit in 2021, rising by 2.1% against the previous year. In general, the import price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when the average import price increased by 35% against the previous year.
