Mould For Glass Market Size in the UK

In 2021, the UK mould for glass market increased by 3.5% to $X, rising for the second year in a row after three years of decline. Over the period under review, consumption, however, enjoyed prominent growth. Mould for glass consumption peaked at $X in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2021, consumption stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at X units in 2020, and then fell remarkably in the following year.

In value terms, mould for glass exports surged to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, exports, however, showed prominent growth. As a result, the exports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

The United States (X units), Poland (X units) and Italy (X units) were the main destinations of mould for glass exports from the UK, together accounting for 38% of total exports. Nigeria, France, Croatia, Brazil, Austria, Australia, Saudi Arabia, Slovenia, Peru and China lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 44%.

In 2021, the average mould for glass export price amounted to $X per unit, rising by 260% against the previous year. Overall, the export price saw a measured expansion. The export price peaked at $X per unit in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably country of destination: the country with the highest price was Australia ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to the United States ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Croatia (+10.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

After two years of decline, overseas purchases of moulds for glass increased by 20% to X units in 2021. In general, total imports indicated a strong increase from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +6.0% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports decreased by -10.0% against 2018 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of 47%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X units. From 2019 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +5.9% from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In 2021, Croatia (X units) constituted the largest supplier of mould for glass to the UK, with a 40% share of total imports. Moreover, mould for glass imports from Croatia exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, China (X units), twofold.
