The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +3.5% over the period from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum at $X in 2018; afterwards, it flattened through to 2021.

The Netherlands (X tons) was the main destination for prepared mustard exports from the UK, accounting for a 30% share of total exports. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 with an increase of 28% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X tons in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, prepared mustard imports totaled $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when imports increased by 25% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X.
