In value terms, rabbit meat imports soared to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports enjoyed prominent growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when imports increased by 197% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
Imports by Country
In 2022, France (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of rabbit meat to the UK, with a 69% share of total imports. Moreover, rabbit meat imports from France exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Belgium (X tons), fivefold. Ireland (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 7.2% share.
