The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 with an increase of 63% against the previous year. Argentina (X tons), Brazil (X tons) and Turkey (X tons) were the main suppliers of hot-rolled steel products imports to Uruguay, together accounting for 72% of total imports. China, Russia, Ukraine and Hong Kong SAR lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 19%.
