In 2022, purchases abroad of spirits, liqueurs and other spirituous beverages decreased by -29.3% to X litres for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year rising trend. Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate slight growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 92% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X litres, and then dropped significantly in the following year.

In value terms, imports of spirits, liqueurs and other spirituous beverages fell rapidly to $X in 2022. In general, imports continue to indicate a abrupt slump.
