From 2013 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Colombia (with a CAGR of +34.8%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Canada ($X) remains the key foreign market for fluid milk exports from the United States, comprising 40% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Mexico ($X), with a 15% share of total exports. It was followed by Taiwan (Chinese), with a 15% share.

From 2013 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Canada totaled +12.8%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Mexico (+2.7% per year) and Taiwan (Chinese) (+37.1% per year).

The average fluid milk export price stood at $X per ton in 2021, with an increase of 9.7% against the previous year. In general, the export price saw a perceptible expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 39% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, fluid milk imports rose to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate a resilient increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when imports increased by 42%. Canada (X tons), France (X tons) and Mexico (X tons) were the main suppliers of fluid milk imports to the United States, with a combined 64% share of total imports. South Korea, India, Colombia, Italy, Denmark and Germany lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 24%.

From 2013 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by India (with a CAGR of +134.3%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Canada ($X), Mexico ($X) and France ($X) constituted the largest fluid milk suppliers to the United States, with a combined 83% share of total imports. South Korea, Colombia, Italy, India, Denmark and Germany lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 9.1%.
