The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when exports increased by 67% against the previous year. The exports peaked at X units in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, motor home exports soared to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, total exports indicated a mild increase from 2013 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +1.1% over the last eight years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Canada (X units) was the main destination for motor home exports from the United States, accounting for a 64% share of total exports. Moreover, motor home exports to Canada exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, the Dominican Republic (X units), fourfold. The third position in this ranking was taken by South Korea (X units), with a 2% share.
From 2013 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume to Canada was relatively modest. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: the Dominican Republic (+165.6% per year) and South Korea (+68.3% per year).
In value terms, Canada ($X) remains the key foreign market for motor homes exports from the United States, comprising 82% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by the Dominican Republic ($X), with a 6.1% share of total exports. It was followed by South Korea, with a 1.8% share.
From 2013 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value to Canada was relatively modest. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: the Dominican Republic (+183.0% per year) and South Korea (+76.2% per year).
Export Prices by Country
The average motor home export price stood at $X per unit in 2021, therefore, remained relatively stable against the previous year. In general, the export price continues to indicate a mild contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 an increase of 8.8% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $X per unit in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

Overall, total imports indicated a tangible expansion from 2013 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +3.7% over the last eight-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +26.6% against 2019 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 when imports increased by 24%. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at X units in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

In general, total imports indicated a remarkable increase from 2013 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +5.3% over the last eight years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. In 2021, Canada (X units) constituted the largest supplier of motor home to the United States, with a 89% share of total imports. Moreover, motor home imports from Canada exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Japan (X units), more than tenfold.

The average motor home import price stood at $X per unit in 2021, picking up by 10% against the previous year. Over the last eight-year period, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.5%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 when the average import price increased by 21% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $X per unit.
