After three years of decline, overseas purchases of nonferrous metal die-casting foundries increased by 60% to X tons in 2021. Overall, imports, however, recorded a noticeable downturn. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at X tons in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, nonferrous metal die-casting foundry imports soared to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports showed a relatively flat trend pattern. Imports peaked at $X in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

In 2021, China (X tons) constituted the largest nonferrous metal die-casting foundry supplier to the United States, accounting for a 46% share of total imports. Moreover, nonferrous metal die-casting foundry imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Hungary (X tons), fourfold.
