Over the period under review, exports continue to indicate significant growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 276% against the previous year. The exports peaked at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, chicken meat exports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. In general, exports enjoyed a significant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 with an increase of 436%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X. From 2020 to 2021, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Exports by Country

Hong Kong SAR (X tons) was the main destination for chicken meat exports from Uzbekistan, with a 66% share of total exports. Moreover, chicken meat exports to Hong Kong SAR exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Tajikistan (X tons), threefold.

Chicken meat imports into Uzbekistan soared to X tons in 2021, rising by 107% on 2020 figures. In general, imports enjoyed significant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 241,482%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.
