Cotton Lint Market Size in Uzbekistan

In 2022, the Uzbek cotton lint market increased by 2.6% to $X for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year declining trend. Overall, consumption, however, showed a noticeable decrease. From 2017 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from Tajikistan stood at +1,408.7%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Kazakhstan (+957.7% per year) and Afghanistan (0.0% per year).

In 2022, the average cotton lint import price amounted to $X per ton, growing by 32% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price recorded a significant increase.
