Turkey (X units), the United Arab Emirates (X units) and Afghanistan (X units) were the main destinations of truck crane exports from Uzbekistan.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major external markets. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the countries with the highest prices were Afghanistan ($X per unit) and Kyrgyzstan ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to the United Arab Emirates ($X per unit) and Turkey ($X per unit) were amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Afghanistan (+89.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2021, overseas purchases of truck cranes decreased by -29.7% to X units, falling for the second consecutive year after three years of growth. Overall, imports, however, posted a prominent increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when imports increased by 130% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X units in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, truck crane imports rose sharply to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, showed a buoyant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when imports increased by 183% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

Imports by Country

Kazakhstan (X units), China (X units) and Turkmenistan (X units) were the main suppliers of truck crane imports to Uzbekistan. Moreover, truck crane imports in Kazakhstan exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, China, twofold.

From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Turkmenistan (with a CAGR of +151.2%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, China ($X) constituted the largest supplier of truck cranes to Uzbekistan, comprising 68% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Kazakhstan ($X), with a 12% share of total imports. It was followed by Germany, with an 8.8% share.

Over the period under review, import price indicated a resilient expansion from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +5.7% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, truck crane import price increased by +97.2% against 2018 indices. As a result, import price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($X per unit), while the price for Kazakhstan ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
