Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure in 2021 and are likely to see gradual growth in the near future.

In 2021, Kazakhstan (X tons) constituted the largest glucose supplier to Uzbekistan, with a 62% share of total imports. Moreover, glucose imports from Kazakhstan exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Russia (X tons), threefold. China (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with an 11% share.

From 2017 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume from Kazakhstan stood at +29.1%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Russia (+31.9% per year) and China (+39.4% per year).
