Hydrogen Production in Uzbekistan

The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by 405%. Imports peaked at X cubic meters in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, hydrogen imports dropped markedly to $X in 2022. Overall, imports faced a dramatic slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 51%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

Russia (X cubic meters) and Kazakhstan (X cubic meters) were the main suppliers of hydrogen imports to Uzbekistan.

From 2017 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Kazakhstan (with a CAGR of -1.4%).

In value terms, the largest hydrogen suppliers to Uzbekistan were Russia ($X) and Kazakhstan ($X).

From 2020 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.

Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($X per cubic meter), while the price for Kazakhstan amounted to $X per cubic meter.

From 2017 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Kazakhstan (+17.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
