Average prices varied noticeably for the major export markets. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Japan ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Russia amounted to $X per ton.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Japan (-1.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Imports into Uzbekistan
In 2021, imports of iron ores and concentrates into Uzbekistan rose significantly to X tons, surging by 11% against the year before. Over the period under review, imports showed a prominent expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of 536% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, iron ore imports declined dramatically to $X in 2021. Overall, imports posted resilient growth. Russia (X tons), Lithuania (X tons) and China (X tons) were the main suppliers of iron ore imports to Uzbekistan.
