The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 when imports increased by 43%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at X tons in 2020, and then shrank slightly in the following year.

In value terms, plastic furniture fittings imports fell modestly to $X in 2021. In general, total imports indicated prominent growth from 2017 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +12.6% over the last four-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +60.6% against 2017 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 with an increase of 31% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2020, and then reduced slightly in the following year.

In 2021, China (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of plastic furniture fittings to Uzbekistan, accounting for a 54% share of total imports.
