The Uzbek market for plastics pipes and pipe fittings declined to $X in 2022, reducing by -2.5% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure at X tons in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, plastics pipe and pipe fitting exports reduced to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports saw a pronounced contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 72%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $X in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Tajikistan (X tons), Kazakhstan (X tons) and Kyrgyzstan (X tons) were the main destinations of plastics pipe and pipe fitting exports from Uzbekistan, with a combined 91% share of total exports. Turkmenistan, South Korea and Russia lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 7.9%.

From 2017 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Turkmenistan (with a CAGR of +2,108.2%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Plastics pipe and pipe fitting imports into Uzbekistan fell to X tons in 2022, waning by -12.5% against 2021 figures. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a remarkable increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 with an increase of 70% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X tons in 2021, and then contracted in the following year.

In value terms, plastics pipe and pipe fitting imports contracted sharply to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, enjoyed significant growth.
