China (X tons), Indonesia (X tons) and South Korea (X tons) were the main destinations of exports of pulp from fibres other than wood from Uzbekistan, together accounting for 59% of total exports. Russia, Turkey, the Netherlands, India, Ukraine and Switzerland lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 35%.
From 2014 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Turkey (with a CAGR of +181.8%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, China ($X), Indonesia ($X) and South Korea ($X) were the largest markets for pulp from fibres other than wood exported from Uzbekistan worldwide, with a combined 53% share of total exports. In 2022, the average export price for pulp from fibres other than wood amounted to $X per ton, shrinking by -6.4% against the previous year. Overall, the export price recorded a abrupt contraction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when the average export price increased by 15%. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $X per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Imports into Uzbekistan
In 2022, the amount of pulp from fibres other than wood imported into Uzbekistan shrank remarkably to X tons, which is down by -32.6% on 2021. Overall, imports, however, posted significant growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 with an increase of 2,715% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X tons in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, imports of pulp from fibres other than wood contracted markedly to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a significant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 with an increase of 1,268% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports of hit record highs at $X in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In 2022, South Korea (X tons) constituted the largest pulp from fibres other than wood supplier to Uzbekistan, accounting for a 59% share of total imports. Moreover, imports of pulp from fibres other than wood from South Korea exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Germany (X tons), threefold. Hungary (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 19% share.
From 2013 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume from South Korea was relatively modest. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Germany (-34.6% per year) and Hungary (0.0% per year).
