In value terms, sheepskin and lambskin exports soared to $X in 2021. Overall, exports, however, recorded a abrupt decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 with an increase of 160%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X. From 2016 to 2021, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Turkmenistan (X tons), India (X tons) and Pakistan (X tons) were the main destinations of sheepskin and lambskin exports from Uzbekistan, together comprising 99% of total exports.

Overall, imports saw a significant increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 when imports increased by 3,034% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2021 and are likely to see steady growth in years to come.
