Kyrgyzstan (X tons), South Korea (X tons) and Tajikistan (X tons) were the main destinations of plastic supports exports from Uzbekistan, with a combined 99.9% share of total exports.

From 2017 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for South Korea (with a CAGR of +98.8%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced mixed trend patterns.

In value terms, South Korea ($X) remains the key foreign market for spools, cops, bobbins and similar supports of plastics exports from Uzbekistan, comprising 89% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Kyrgyzstan ($X), with a 9.7% share of total exports.

Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a notable increase. Imports peaked at X tons in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, plastic supports imports soared to $X in 2022. In general, imports posted a buoyant increase. Imports peaked at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2022, Turkey (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of plastic supports to Uzbekistan, with a 60% share of total imports. Moreover, plastic supports imports from Turkey exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Italy (X tons), twofold. The third position in this ranking was taken by China (X tons), with a 6.2% share.

From 2017 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from Turkey totaled +6.5%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Italy (+617.3% per year) and China (-30.6% per year).
