The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 when imports increased by 405% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2022, Russia (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of flax fabric to Uzbekistan, with a 68% share of total imports. Moreover, flax fabric imports from Russia exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Belarus (X tons), fivefold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Poland (X kg), with an 8% share.

From 2020 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from Russia stood at -29.0%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Belarus (+340.8% per year) and Poland (+566.1% per year).

In value terms, Russia ($X) constituted the largest supplier of woven fabrics of flax to Uzbekistan, comprising 68% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Belarus ($X), with a 14% share of total imports. It was followed by Poland, with an 8% share.

From 2020 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value from Russia stood at +11.2%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Belarus (+229.0% per year) and Poland (+94.3% per year).

In 2022, the average flax fabric import price amounted to $X per ton, jumping by 77% against the previous year. In general, the import price enjoyed a significant expansion. As a result, import price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the countries with the highest prices were Germany ($X per ton) and Russia ($X per ton), while the price for Belarus ($X per ton) and Poland ($X per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From 2020 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Russia (+56.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
