Garlic Market Size in Venezuela

After two years of growth, the Venezuelan garlic market decreased by -3.4% to $X in 2022. Imports peaked at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, garlic imports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, showed a sharp setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 when imports increased by 1,109%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In 2022, China (X tons) constituted the largest garlic supplier to Venezuela, accounting for a 54% share of total imports. Moreover, garlic imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Trinidad and Tobago (X tons), twofold.
