After three years of growth, the Venezuelan market for jams, jellies, puree and pastes decreased by -10.4% to $X in 2021. Chile (X tons) was the main destination for jam, jelly, puree and paste exports from Venezuela, accounting for a 91% share of total exports. Moreover, jam, jelly, puree and paste exports to Chile exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Portugal (X kg), more than tenfold.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume to Chile totaled +16.7%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Portugal (+49.4% per year) and Aruba (-19.2% per year).

In value terms, Portugal ($X), Chile ($X) and Aruba ($X) constituted the largest markets for jam, jelly, puree and paste exported from Venezuela worldwide, together comprising 99.9% of total exports.

Portugal, with a CAGR of +69.2%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, in terms of the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2021, the average export price for jams, jellies, puree and pastes amounted to $X per ton, increasing by 2.3% against the previous year.
