Amplifier Market Size in Vietnam

The Vietnamese amplifier market shrank to $X in 2022, falling by -10.5% against the previous year. Over the period under review, consumption continues to indicate a perceptible shrinkage. In 2022, exports of amplifiers from Vietnam skyrocketed to X units, jumping by 16% on the previous year's figure. Over the period under review, exports posted a prominent increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when exports increased by 86% against the previous year. The exports peaked in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in years to come.

In value terms, amplifier exports contracted to $X in 2022. In general, exports recorded buoyant growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 with an increase of 75% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum at $X in 2021, and then dropped in the following year.

The UK (X units) was the main destination for amplifier exports from Vietnam, with a 43% share of total exports. Moreover, amplifier exports to the UK exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, France (X units), fivefold. The United States (X units) ranked third in terms of total exports with an 8.3% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to the UK amounted to +21.3%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: France (+14.8% per year) and the United States (+4.2% per year).

In value terms, Germany ($X) remains the key foreign market for amplifiers exports from Vietnam, comprising 24% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by the United States ($X), with a 9.4% share of total exports. It was followed by the UK, with an 8.2% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value to Germany stood at +25.9%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: the United States (+4.7% per year) and the UK (+20.7% per year).

Export Prices by Country

In 2022, the average amplifier export price amounted to $X per unit, shrinking by -19.6% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.9%. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 an increase of 36% against the previous year. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $X per unit. From 2017 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Spain ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

Imports into Vietnam

In 2022, the amount of amplifiers imported into Vietnam expanded remarkably to X units, picking up by 8.9% against the previous year. In general, imports showed prominent growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 270%. Imports peaked at X units in 2020; afterwards, it flattened through to 2022.

In value terms, amplifier imports rose remarkably to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a resilient expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when imports increased by 153% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Imports by Country

In 2022, China (X units) was the main amplifier supplier to Vietnam, with a 93% share of total imports. It was followed by the United States (X units), with a 2.1% share of total imports. The third position in this ranking was held by Japan (X units), with a 1.5% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from China stood at +18.7%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: the United States (+25.6% per year) and Japan (+9.7% per year).

In value terms, China ($X) constituted the largest supplier of amplifiers to Vietnam, comprising 74% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by South Korea ($X), with a 6.1% share of total imports. It was followed by the United States, with a 4.3% share.
