The Vietnamese breathing appliances market contracted sharply to $X in 2022, falling by -20.8% against the previous year. Imports into Vietnam

In 2022, breathing appliances imports into Vietnam contracted remarkably to X units, reducing by -29.6% on the year before. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a buoyant expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 when imports increased by 91%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X units. From 2020 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, breathing appliances imports declined to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate a resilient expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when imports increased by 79% against the previous year. China (X units), South Korea (X units) and the United States (X units) were the main suppliers of breathing appliances imports to Vietnam, together accounting for 50% of total imports. Germany, Poland, Singapore, Japan, Ireland, Canada, Taiwan (Chinese), the Czech Republic, the UK and Italy lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 37%.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for the Czech Republic (with a CAGR of +48.4%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest breathing appliances suppliers to Vietnam were South Korea ($X), China ($X) and Ireland ($X), together accounting for 49% of total imports. The United States, Germany, Singapore, Poland, Japan, Canada, Taiwan (Chinese), the UK, Italy and the Czech Republic lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 36%.

Among the main suppliers, Singapore, with a CAGR of +36.1%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average breathing appliances import price stood at $X per unit in 2022, jumping by 26% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a perceptible reduction. The import price peaked at $X per unit in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Ireland ($X per unit), while the price for the Czech Republic ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
