Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a deep downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 with an increase of 299% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X units in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, combine harvester imports plummeted to $X in 2022. Overall, imports showed a deep contraction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2015 with an increase of 271%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2016 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.

In 2022, Thailand (X units) constituted the largest combine harvester supplier to Vietnam, with a 71% share of total imports. Moreover, combine harvester imports from Thailand exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, China (X units), threefold.
