Burkina Faso (X tons) was the main destination for concentrated grapefruit juice exports from Vietnam, accounting for a 41% share of total exports. Moreover, concentrated grapefruit juice exports to Burkina Faso exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Taiwan (Chinese) (X tons), threefold. Japan (X tons) ranked third in terms of total exports with a 13% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume to Burkina Faso was relatively modest. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Taiwan (Chinese) (-1.5% per year) and Japan (+536.5% per year).

In value terms, concentrated grapefruit juice imports contracted dramatically to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, posted a buoyant increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 with an increase of 546% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

In 2021, South Africa (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of concentrated grapefruit juice to Vietnam, accounting for a 71% share of total imports. Moreover, concentrated grapefruit juice imports from South Africa exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, the United States (X tons), sevenfold. Thailand (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 7.7% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from South Africa stood at +52.1%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: the United States (+16.2% per year) and Thailand (-2.8% per year).

In value terms, South Africa ($X) constituted the largest supplier of concentrated grapefruit juice to Vietnam, comprising 63% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by the United States ($X), with an 18% share of total imports. It was followed by Israel, with a 5.6% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from South Africa stood at +55.6%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: the United States (+25.4% per year) and Israel (+35.2% per year).
