In value terms, coniferous wood in the rough imports rose to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate a deep slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 106%. Imports peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

Lao People's Democratic Republic (X cubic meters), the United States (X cubic meters) and New Zealand (X cubic meters) were the main suppliers of coniferous wood in the rough imports to Vietnam, together comprising 89% of total imports. Sweden, Japan, South Africa and Costa Rica lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 5.9%.
