In 2022, after six years of growth, there was decline in supplies from abroad of residues of starch manufacture, when their volume decreased by -4.8% to X tons. Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate a strong expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 128% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at X tons in 2021, and then dropped in the following year.

In value terms, starch manufacture residues imports contracted to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, posted a prominent expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when imports increased by 141%.
