As a result, imports attained the peak of X square meters. From 2017 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, non-cotton terry towelling imports fell sharply to $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, recorded a strong increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 when imports increased by 136%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2017 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per square meter. From 2015 to 2021, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.

Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Taiwan (Chinese) ($X per square meter), while the price for South Korea ($X per square meter) was amongst the lowest.
