Ghana represented the largest exporting country with an export of about X tons, which resulted at 83% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Nigeria (X tons), creating a 15% share of total exports.

Ghana was also the fastest-growing in terms of the aluminium alloy tubes and pipes exports, with a CAGR of +70.1% from 2012 to 2022. Nigeria (-5.8%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Ghana (+81 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2022, the share of Nigeria (-77.5 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics.

In value terms, aluminium alloy tube imports surged to $X in 2022. Total imports indicated a resilient increase from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +5.5% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Niger (X tons) and Ghana (X tons) represented roughly 51% of total imports in 2022. Cote d'Ivoire (X tons) ranks next in terms of the total imports with a 14% share, followed by Nigeria (12%), Guinea (7.3%) and Senegal (7.3%). Mauritania (X tons) held a relatively small share of total imports.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Niger (with a CAGR of +63.2%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Niger ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported aluminium alloy tubes and pipes in Western Africa, comprising 37% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Ghana ($X), with an 18% share of total imports. It was followed by Cote d'Ivoire, with a 13% share.

In Niger, aluminium alloy tube imports increased at an average annual rate of +82.8% over the period from 2012-2022. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Ghana (+2.2% per year) and Cote d'Ivoire (+25.2% per year).
