Over the period under review, exports faced a abrupt shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when exports increased by 43% against the previous year. The volume of export peaked at X tons in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, aluminium window and door exports fell notably to $X in 2021. In general, exports recorded a abrupt shrinkage. Senegal represented the main exporter of aluminium doors, thresholds for doors and windows in Western Africa, with the volume of exports recording X tons, which was near 55% of total exports in 2021. In value terms, the largest aluminium window and door supplying countries in Western Africa were Senegal ($X), Liberia ($X) and Ghana ($X), together accounting for 78% of total exports.

Among the main exporting countries, Liberia, with a CAGR of +45.5%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The export price in Western Africa stood at $X per ton in 2021, rising by 14% against the previous year. Over the last nine-year period, it increased at an average annual rate of +5.6%. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 an increase of 29% against the previous year. The level of export peaked in 2021 and is likely to continue growth in the near future.
