Senegal (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total exports with a 31% share, followed by Nigeria (7.8%). Ghana (X kg) followed a long way behind the leaders.

In value terms, Cote d'Ivoire ($X) remains the largest cereal germ supplier in Western Africa, comprising 68% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Senegal ($X), with a 24% share of total exports. It was followed by Nigeria, with a 4.7% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in Cote d'Ivoire stood at +87.2%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Senegal (+48.1% per year) and Nigeria (+35.1% per year).

In 2021, the export price in Western Africa amounted to $X per ton, with an increase of 2.2% against the previous year. Overall, the export price posted a prominent expansion. The import price in Western Africa stood at $X per ton in 2021, picking up by 56% against the previous year. In general, the import price posted a pronounced increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 when the import price increased by 91% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per ton. From 2016 to 2021, the import prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Burkina Faso ($X per ton), while Benin ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
