In value terms, chromatograph imports reduced modestly to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a resilient expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when imports increased by 135% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

Imports by Country

Ghana (X units), Nigeria (X units) and Senegal (X units) represented roughly 60% of total imports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Cote d'Ivoire (X units), Liberia (X units) and Mali (X units), together achieving a 25% share of total imports. Burkina Faso (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when the import price increased by 36% against the previous year.
