The second position in the ranking was taken by Nigeria ($X), with an 18% share of total exports. It was followed by Togo, with a 12% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Burkina Faso stood at +18.9%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Nigeria (+21.9% per year) and Togo (+30.4% per year).

By contrast, Mauritania (-6.7%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2021, the share of Ghana, Cote d'Ivoire, Mali and Burkina Faso increased by +5.5, +5.2, +4 and +2.2 percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
