Over the period under review, imports, however, saw a resilient expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of 3,108%. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, natural cork stopper imports fell significantly to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, saw a buoyant increase.
