After two years of growth, purchases abroad of frozen crabs and crabs meat decreased by -33.8% to X tons in 2021. In general, imports, however, showed a prominent increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 113%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons, and then declined remarkably in the following year.

In value terms, frozen crab and crab meat imports contracted sharply to $X in 2021. Overall, imports, however, saw strong growth.
