Over the period under review, imports hit record highs in 2021 and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Burkina Faso (X tons) and Benin (X tons) prevails in imports structure, together making up 87% of total imports. It was distantly followed by Mali (X tons), generating a 5.1% share of total imports. The following importers - Togo (X tons) and Senegal (X tons) - each amounted to a 3.7% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main importing countries, was attained by Burkina Faso (with a CAGR of +118.2%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest grapefruit juice (single strength) importing markets in Western Africa were Burkina Faso ($X), Benin ($X) and Mali ($X), with a combined 87% share of total imports.
Among the main importing countries, Burkina Faso, with a CAGR of +92.4%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
