Togo represented the major exporting country with an export of about X tons, which accounted for 74% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Benin (X tons), achieving a 19% share of total exports. The following exporters - Mauritania (X tons) and Ghana (X tons) - together made up 6% of total exports.

From 2012 to 2021, average annual rates of growth with regard to gypsum, anhydrite and limestone exports from Togo stood at -9.1%. At the same time, Benin (+974.6%) and Mauritania (+37.6%) displayed positive paces of growth. In 2021, the amount of gypsum, anhydrite and limestone imported in Western Africa skyrocketed to X tons, increasing by 65% compared with the previous year's figure. In general, imports enjoyed a buoyant increase. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
