Ghana dominates exports structure, reaching X tons, which was approx. 93% of total exports in 2021. Cote d'Ivoire (X kg) and Nigeria (X kg) followed a long way behind the leaders.

Ghana was also the fastest-growing in terms of the herrings (prepared or preserved) exports, with a CAGR of +3.9% from 2012 to 2021. Cote d'Ivoire (-9.0%) and Nigeria (-13.3%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period.
