In value terms, fungicide and bactericide exports totaled $X in 2021. Over the period under review, exports, however, continue to indicate buoyant growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 with an increase of 104% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X. From 2014 to 2021, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.

In 2021, Cote d'Ivoire (X tons) and Nigeria (X tons) represented the main exporters of fungicides, bactericides and seed treatments in Western Africa, together creating 82% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Senegal (X tons), comprising a 16% share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Cote d'Ivoire (with a CAGR of +41.4%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Senegal ($X per ton), while Nigeria ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

In 2021, the import price in Western Africa amounted to $X per ton, picking up by 15% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2021, it increased at an average annual rate of +3.8%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 an increase of 26% against the previous year. Over the period under review, import prices reached the peak figure at $X per ton in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2021, import prices remained at a lower figure.
