Sierra Leone (X tons) and Cote d'Ivoire (X tons) dominates exports structure, together creating 84% of total exports. The following exporters - Gambia (X tons), Ghana (X tons), Guinea (X tons), Senegal (X tons) and Togo (X tons) - each resulted at a 9.9% share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Cote d'Ivoire (with a CAGR of +66.3%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Sierra Leone ($X) emerged as the largest steel stranded wire supplier in Western Africa, comprising 58% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Cote d'Ivoire ($X), with a 28% share of total exports. It was followed by Ghana, with a 3.1% share.

In Sierra Leone, steel stranded wire exports expanded at an average annual rate of +7.3% over the period from 2012-2022. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Cote d'Ivoire (+53.4% per year) and Ghana (-2.9% per year).

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when the import price increased by 13% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
