Ghana, with a CAGR of +37.7%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, among the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The export price in Western Africa stood at $X per unit in 2022, growing by 42% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, saw a deep slump. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 an increase of 283%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $X per unit. From 2014 to 2022, the export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Ghana ($X per unit), while Togo ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the import price increased by 83% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
