In 2021, after four years of growth, there was significant decline in overseas purchases of machinery for filling, closing, sealing, capsuling or labelling containers, when their volume decreased by -30.7% to X units. In general, imports, however, saw a significant increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 117% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked at X units in 2020, and then shrank sharply in the following year.

In value terms, filling containers machinery imports rose sharply to $X in 2021. Overall, imports, however, showed strong growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 when imports increased by 145%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.
