Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure at X tons in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

In 2022, Benin (X tons) represented the main exporter of meat and poultry, committing X% of total exports. Mauritania (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total exports with a X% share, followed by Ghana (X%) and Liberia (X%). The following exporters - Togo (X tons), Cabo Verde (X tons) and Cote d'Ivoire (X tons) - each accounted for a X% share of total exports.

Exports from Benin decreased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Liberia (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Liberia emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Western Africa, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022. By contrast, Cabo Verde (X%), Cote d'Ivoire (X%), Mauritania (X%), Ghana (X%) and Togo (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period.
