Niger was also the fastest-growing in terms of the objective lenses for cameras, projectors or photographic enlargers or reducers exports, with a CAGR of +116.9% from 2012 to 2021. Cote d'Ivoire (-9.0%), Cabo Verde (-18.5%) and Nigeria (-32.8%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. In Niger, objective lens exports increased at an average annual rate of +162.5% over the period from 2012-2021. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Nigeria (-29.3% per year) and Cote d'Ivoire (-22.0% per year).

Export Prices by Country

In 2021, the export price in Western Africa amounted to $X per unit, surging by 48% against the previous year. In general, the export price recorded a prominent expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 an increase of 80%. The level of export peaked in 2021 and is likely to see gradual growth in the near future.

From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Guinea (with a CAGR of +41.7%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Ghana ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported objective lenses for cameras, projectors or photographic enlargers or reducers in Western Africa, comprising 60% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Nigeria ($X), with a 17% share of total imports. It was followed by Cote d'Ivoire, with a 6.9% share.
